Barça to Host Historic Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou this Saturday

Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host the Bilbao team in domestic competition over two years after they moved out to allow renovations to start.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside under the licence granted. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.

Stadium Testing

The club conducted a public practice at the Camp Nou on 7 November. Officials stated approval is being pursued from Uefa to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt in December at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
