Comedian and author David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.
Best-selling young adult author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.
A spokesman for the company said: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was reached following an investigation into allegations of questionable actions directed at young women.
The company has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
A number of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works in total, which features a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
